Executive Director: David Lowrey
David was first elected to a school board in 1987. After serving on the Executive Board for Erie County Association of School Boards (ECASB), serving as its Treasurer, Vice-President and President, Dave became the Executive Director in November 2019.
Dave has a Bachelors of Science Degree in Art Education / Graphic Design and Masters of Science Degree in Multi-Disciplinary Studies from Buffalo State College and a second Masters Degree in Education Administration from Canisius College.
He has taught in the Lockport City School District for over 30 years where he also served as Art Teacher, Mentor Coordinator, Student Teacher Coordinator, the Student Based Support Team Coordinator, Department Chair, and the Lockport Education Association president representing 467 teachers, teaching assistants and nurses.
Active in community organizations, Dave served as Chair of the Orleans Niagara Teacher Center, served as Vice President of Tri-Town Soccer, Assistant Commissioner of EMW Soccer, President of the Iroquois Central School Board, Board Member for Erie 2 CC Boces, Development Director for the Buffalo Children’s Zoo, Program Director for Children’s Hospital Child Life Specialist Program, St. Vincent DePaul Parish Council and serves as an Eucharistic Minister.
In addition to his public service, Dave has private sector experience, having served as the Director of Model and Agent Relations for the International Model Search in Chicago, Illinois, and as the Director of Marketing and Public Relations for a franchise of Burger King with over 50 restaurants.
Dave was awarded the Diana R. Miller Service To Education Award in 2015; Lifetime Achievement Award for NYS PTA in 1995, and The Western New York NYSUT Regional Award in 2014.
Program Services Manager: Jane E. Sullivan
Jane Sullivan is a graduate of Iroquois CSD where she now serves as Board President. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Syracuse University in English and a Master of Science from Canisius College in Reading Education. She currently is an adjunct instructor at the State University of New York at Buffalo where she is a writing instructor.
Prior to her current role, she was an adjunct instructor at Texas A & M International University in Texas. She also served as the Interim Education Exhibit Coordinator for the Laredo Children’s Museum. Jane worked locally in the Starpoint Central School District as a reading teacher when she first graduated from college. Jane has authored several articles including “Keeping Our Ducks in a Row: , “Race for MOST”, and Group B Strep” for Supertwins Magazine, MOST. She has co-authored with 4 other writers “Baggage Claims: Attitudes and Skills to Pack for College 2nd edition. Jane currently serves as the Lifestyles Editor for the East Aurora Advertiser/Elma Review where she writes community member profiles, obituaries, community interest stories, and works with the webmaster to create digital copy for social media sites.
She serves in a leadership role with the Neighbor to Neighbor News. The Neighbor to Neighbor News, in addition to representing the East Aurora Advertiser and the Elma Review, also includes the Arcade Herald, Springville Journal, Warsaw Country Courier, and the Franklin Mercury Gazette. As a graduate of Iroquois CSD, Jane was active in school in a variety of activities including cheerleading, drama club, writing for the school paper and serving on the student government board. She is a parent of 4 children including triplets who are all enrolled in higher education. Jane resides in the town of Elma.
Executive Secretary/Information Specialist: Sue Summers
Sue currently serves as the Executive Secretary for E-NSSA and the Executive Secretary/Information Specialist for ECASB since 2006. Sue holds an Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy
Sue is also responsible for the setup and coordination of the annual Scholastic Achievement Recognition Dinner (SARD), honoring the top three student honorees in all Erie and Niagara county high schools.
Executive Bookeeper: Ryan DiPasquale
Ryan DiPasquale has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and Finance from Canisius College and is expecting to earn his Master’s Degree in Business Administrator in Accounting from Canisius College in May of 2020. Ryan is a resident of the village of Hamburg and attended St. Francis High School. Ryan currently works at Waterford Advisors, LLC as an intern and will begin full-time employment at the agency upon completion of his schooling in May of 2020. Prior work experience included working for National Property Management Associates as a caretaker of three residences in the Western New York area and working at the Hamburg Recreation Department as a Golf Instructor, and Skate Guard. Ryan has always been active in the community as a volunteer
and has volunteered as an Assistant Hockey Coach for *the Buffalo Bisons 18 UAA Hockey club, and as a Eucharistic Minister for St. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic
Church in Hamburg as well as at St. Francis High School.
While in college, Ryan was involved in the Accounting Society, the Accounting Freshman Mentor Program, The Wire (Radio Talk Show Host), Best Buddies, and C-Block. Best Buddies International is a nonprofit organization dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment, leadership development, and inclusive living for individuals with intellectual and development disabilities. Ryan served as Vice President of the Club at Canisius. In his spare time, Ryan enjoys reading, watching sports, and spending time with his family. Ryan will be joining ECASB as the Executive Bookkeeper on a part-time basis and looks forward to working with the organization and meeting the many ECASB members.
Advocacy Liaison: Dwight Eagan
Dwight Eagan is a graduate of Orchard Park High School. While attending Orchard Park High School, Dwight was involved with Varsity Soccer and Musical Theatre. In the community, Dwight served as a Soccer Coach as well as a referee for the Orchard Park Town Travel Team. Additionally, Dwight over the years has served as a Tutor to refugees in Buffalo. In 2017, Dwight earned a Paralegal Certificate from the State University at Buffalo Millard Filmore College, and in 2018, he earned a Bachelors Degree in Social Sciences from SUNY at Buffalo. He will be attending the University of Albany Law School in the fall of the year. While attending the University of Buffalo, Dwight participated in the College Fencing Club.
Dwight first ran for the Orchard Park School Board in May of 2016 when he was only 20 years of age. As an Orchard Park School Board Member, he has served / or is currently serving on the following committees: Policy, Curriculum and Development, CDEP, and Technology. He has served as Vice President for two years and has experienced agenda setting, collective bargaining, and leadership development in his role as Vice President. Dwight has served as the Legislative Representative, Delegate Assembly Representative, and has served on the Budget and Finance team over the years for ECASB. He has served as the Legislative Delegate for NYSSBA for several years. Dwight has attended over 4 NYSSBA round table discussions with the Commissioner of Education and the Regents Chancellor. In 2018, Dwight was elected to the Erie 2 CC BOCES Board of Education representing 27 component school districts. Dwight has currently serves on the Finance committee at Erie 2 CC BOCES.
His most recent employment has been with The Arc Erie County as a Human Resources Specialist. Prior to his current position, Dwight worked for The Coppola Law Firm as a Legal Assistant / Paralegal to support cases relating to employment law, business transaction law, and school law. While employed here, he assisted the firm's founder in advocacy efforts for the National Association of Women Business Owners. Other work experiences include working at the Sugarman Law Firm as a File Clerk and Niacet Corporation where he presented project reports in international cross-site meetings with the companies facility located in the Netherlands.
