Delegate Assembly
Budget
and Finance Team
Legislative Team
Each member board appoints a member & alternate for the Budget & Finance Team. The team actively participates in developing an annual budget, reviews the dues structure and seeks alternate revenue sources.
The ECASB Executive Board established a Financial Oversight Team to serve in an external review capacity working with the Association's Auditor (Lumsden & McCormick, LLP) and ECASB Treasurer to ensure that ECASB maintains its high standard of financial management.
The Delegate Assembly is comprised of one representative, one alternate and the Superintendent from each member board. Each board has one vote. The Delegate Assembly meets at least three times during the fiscal year. The Delegate Assembly plays a key role in advancing ECASB's Goals & Mission by approving an annual budget & dues, receiving the Annual Financial Report, electing officers, at large board members and nominating team members, and approving activities & organizational strategies.
Serves as the governing body for ECASB. The membership of the Executive Board shall be comprised of the Association President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Immediate Past President, Five (5) incumbent school board members elected at large, one (1) elected Superintendent, and a member of the Buffalo Board of Education selected by that Board.
The Legislative Team is composed of representatives, alternates and Superintendents from member school districts. Team Members are the key communicators who link ECASB to lawmakers and the NYS Board of Regents. Team activities uphold a belief that school boards must anticipate trends and present recommendations before legislative issues escape local influence. Here are the issues presented to our area legislators at the 06-07 Legislative Breakfast. Click here to see ECASB's 07-08 Legislative Position Statements. The Awards Review Team oversees development of award nomination forms.
They encourage, review and recommend nominations to the Executive Board
for the Diana R. Miller Service to Education Award, the Laura M. Burns Advocacy
for Children Award, and the Hodgson Russ Excellence in Education Award for
Collaboration, which are presented at the ECASB Annual Dinner in June.
